What types of wood do you use to make Kumiko lamps?
I usually work with locally sourced woods from the Yucatan Peninsula, including: Chechén or Rosewood (Metopium brownei), Mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla), Cedar (Cedrus), Granadillo (Platymiscium yucatanum), Teak (Tectona grandis), Tzalám or Abey (Lysiloma latisiliquum), White Pine (Pinus ayacahuite), and Jabín (Piscidia piscipula). However, depending on the project, I can also source other types of wood.
What is the delivery time once the order is placed?
The manufacturing time is four (4) to five (5) weeks, and the packaging and transportation time is one (1) to two (2) weeks, depending on whether the shipment is domestic or international. Please note that it may take longer, depending on the production schedule of the workshop. We are a small workshop that manufactures products as orders are received. We suggest that you place your order with a flexible schedule and confidence.
Can I request any design changes during production?
Yes, you can request up to two (2) changes to the piece before it is completed.
Do you have available pieces in stock or is everything made to order?
We usually work on a made-to-order basis; however, sometimes we have pieces available in stock. You can email us to inquire about availability.
Are there any special instructions or recommendations for long-term maintenance?

What procedure should I follow if I need assistance or to report a complaint?

Orders
- Purchase Communication
Verify the information regarding the type, size, and price of the product you wish to purchase, and communicate your intention to buy via email. The size or design can be modified, so we ask that you consult separately. studio@frankdelabarrera.com - Deposit of Production Cost
After verifying the production details, please make the deposit for the production cost. All work will be carried out after the advance payment is made. - A production period of 4-5 weeks is required from the date of deposit
All products require 4 to 5 weeks from the date of deposit. The production period may change depending on the number of orders and the schedule, and we will inform you at the time of inquiry. If you request a design change or a new design, an additional design period will be required, so we ask that you consider this before requesting any changes. - The size cannot be changed once production has begun
It is difficult to change the size after confirming the purchase, and cancellation will incur a penalty of 30% of the estimate, so we request that you make your purchasing decision carefully.
Shipping
Before packaging and shipping, we will send you a video so you can see your finished piece in detail.
We are not responsible for any damage that occurs to the piece during shipping.
International delivery to all regions of the world is possible through DHL, which insures the shipment for USD 500.00. If you require it, the shipment can be insured for a higher amount, which will incur an additional charge to the shipping cost.
If you provide us with your detailed address, we will inform you of the shipping cost after confirming it with DHL. Export packaging charges, insurance for shipments exceeding USD 500.00, and international shipping are not included in the price of the piece.
How can I ensure the authenticity and originality of the pieces I acquire?
During the manufacturing of the piece, I, Frank de la Barrera, will be sending you updates on the progress of your item to ensure that the work is being done as agreed.

Do you accept different forms of payment, such as credit cards, bank transfers, etc.?
